We are looking for an accountancy technical learning expert to join the people team at an incredibly exciting time for PKF-Francis Clark. The firm has recently evolved its strategy to make the firm recognised as a great place to work. An important part of this is to provide our people with the technical knowledge and experience, as well as the behaviours, to achieve their ambitions.
This builds on our existing strategic approach to learning and development. We have moved from a traditional style of selection from a list of training courses to a modern and progressive approach incorporating employee ownership, engaging assessment of individual learning needs and using technology to deliver demand led blended learning solutions.
To build on these foundations and realise the firm’s ambitions, we need a progressive, practical and collaborative experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of the technical aspect of our learning strategy. They will oversee our pre and post qualified technical training with direct responsibility for post qualified learning and management of a Technical Learning Specialist responsible for pre-qualified learning.
They will develop and deliver our key strategic project to provide technical and behavioural learning aligned to Family Business Connect and specialist needs at a post qualified level.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have pragmatically created and implemented a learning and development strategy based on business need, influenced stakeholders to gain commitment, diagnosed individual and collective technical learning needs and designed and delivered (where within skill set) innovative technical learning solutions using a range of complementary methods. This role will work collaboratively with the wider people team consisting of Resourcing and Talent, Regional Business Partners and a People Services administrative team.
As a Technical Learning Manager, you are expected to have a strong understanding of the technical knowledge and experiences in a modern accountancy practice. You will be able to create a technical learning strategy, diagnose individual and collective technical learning needs and make a positive impact on performance and potential at all levels across the firm. You will be able to manage and influence a number of stakeholders, including those more senior and technically proficient than you. You will have a good understanding of different learning styles and personality preferences and the impact on the design of technical learning interventions. You will enjoy and excel at managing a range of internal and external providers to deliver design and deliver technical training across the firm. You will have a passion for learning by doing and experiential learning approaches. You will have experience of leading and managing others.
