Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for an opportunity where you will be given responsibility for looking after a diverse portfolio of payroll clients?

Would you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with a motivated and talented team of payroll professionals?

We are currently looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Poole office.

About you: 

  • Experience of managing a defined client portfolio effectively
  • Ability to supervise and coach staff within a busy payroll environment
  • Good working knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work independently and as part of an established team, assisting and supporting others in a proactive manner as required
  • Able to work to strict deadlines
  • Able to deal with a wide range of clients in a polite and professional manner
  • IT literate and able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel Accurate and numerate, with a methodical and organised approach to work.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting in to the Payroll Manager and Head of FC Payroll Solutions, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for a defined portfolio of clients and managing that portfolio effectively
  • Processing a wide variety of payrolls for clients
  • Setting up of new client payrolls ensuring all data is clean
  • Liaising with new clients to ensure they are happy with the service
  • Undertaking customer surveys and taking appropriate action to make any relevant improvements to the service
  • Supervising Payroll Administrators working on the defined client portfolio
  • Training and developing team members
  • Keeping up to date with new legislation
  • Dealing directly with relevant client queries in an efficient and timely manner
  • Liaising with HMRC around employee payments
  • Ensuring day to day processing is completed on time
  • Being ware of the FC Payroll Solutions Business Plan and identifying new business opportunities
  • Assisting with preparation of pitches for new business and involvement in relevant networking and business development activities
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures are updated regularly and are adhered to
