Marketing & Business Development Executive

Our successful Marketing & Business Development team is growing, and we are looking for talented and driven Marketing & BD professionals to join us on this exciting journey!

If you like building relationships and organising people and events, then this job is for you.  It’s a rare role that covers both marketing and business development with scope to develop a career path in either.

To be successful in this role you will need superb organisational skills.  Your communication skills will be exceptional, and you find it easy to build instant rapport with people.  You will be confident in liaising with multiple teams, internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure the smooth running of all business development and marketing activity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing events/webinars from start to finish including scoping the event based on objectives through to following up to generate sales leads post event.
  • As part of the wider marketing team helping to drive campaigns and sector activity.
  • Coming-up with ideas for corporate hospitality events to help build closer relationships with clients and contacts.
  • Looking after sponsorships and ensuring we are maximising our agreed packages.
  • Producing marketing materials i.e. PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, eshots, case studies and brochures.
  • Actively monitoring key clients and prospects and engaging with them on social media.
  • Undertaking market research, company research and using software to identify new avenues to market to.
  • Coordinating marketing / business development meetings and chasing actions with team members so progress is being made.
  • Proactively looking for PR opportunities and ways in which we can promote/help our clients.
  • Using the CRM system to update contact details, the progress on relationship building activities and enquiries.
  • Managing and assisting with the production of proposal documents and keeping a log on wins & losses. Sharing best practice with other teams.
  • Monitoring the marketing/BD budget.
  • Ensuring that all activity complies with GDPR.

About you: 

  • Previous experience of marketing or business development activities.
  • You have a sense of fun and love being part of a team.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English and comfortable communicating at all levels internally and externally.
  • Highly organised with great administrative skills.
  • Confident in building a rapport with people.
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and good under pressure.
  • Comfortable with technology.
  • Proficient in social media.
  • A can do attitude.
  • Full driving licence and own transport is essential.
