We are currently looking for a IT Cyber Protection Technician to join our Cyber Services team.

Working with our Head of Cyber Services, you will learn how to provide technical audits at the client’s premises or remotely and review candidate companies’ application forms against a set standard, and ensuring clients receive a prompt and high quality service at all times.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the day to day flow of client accreditation applications.
  • Client site visits as appropriate
  • Learning how to conduct audits on behalf of Cyber Security against both the Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance Standard.
  • Learning how to provide advice to clients on how they may reach the required standard
  • Learning IT General Controls Audits.
  • Learning Pen Testing.
  • Keeping spreadsheets as to the state of client progress through the standards
  • Constructing PowerPoint presentations for both training and information seminars.

About you:

  • Excellent customer facing experience
  • A keen interest in IT and developments in the sector
  • Attention to detail, analytical abilities and the ability to recognise trends in data
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions
  • A methodical and well-organised approach to work
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a range of people
  • Understanding of confidentiality issues, and the law relating to them.
  • Must be self-motivated to continually develop knowledge and understanding of cyber-crime through own research and use of the internet
  • Ability to use Word / Excel / PowerPoint / office and be proficient IT user.
  • Experience working in a digital environment and knowledge of the practical challenges this presents
  • Some Knowledge of the threats posed by cyber-crime including the different varieties of malware and network intrusion attacks
  • Driving license and willing to travel to different locations to undertake all assignments.
