Francis Clark’s award-winning and market-leading Corporate Finance team’s continued expansion means that we now have the opportunity for an individual to join our team and develop their career further in CF.  The team is the most active in the region in which it operates, having completed over 50 transactions last year and being ranked the top financial advisor by volume for the whole of the Southern Region for 2017 (Experian) beating all CF Boutiques, Mid-Tier firms and the Big 4.

Corporate Finance advises on a wide range of transactions, fundraisings (debt, equity and grant), valuations, and provides strategic input to management teams and shareholders. Transactions tend to range between £1m - £50m and increasingly involve our international PKF network.

The team is supported by the full range service offering from the firm with specialists in Tax, VAT, PAYE/NI for transactions, and ongoing accounting and compliance for our 21,000+ recurring clients.

About you:

  • ACA qualified (or equivalent), although applicants nearing qualification may also be considered
  • Commercially minded, with an enquiring and analytical approach to work
  • Accurate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working to deadlines
  • Ability to assimilate information from various sources very quickly
  • Tactful and discrete
  • Computer literate, and familiar with MS Excel and its use in financial modelling
  • Report writing experience including use of MS Word.

What you'll be doing:

  • The primary responsibility is to support the Corporate Finance team on a wide range of assignments based across the region.
  • Projects may include the creation of business plans and financial models, mergers and acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs, fundraising, and valuations
  • Producing cash flow forecasts and budgets for input into valuations and examinations of company viability
  • Undertaking due diligence exercises on behalf of a range of organisations
  • Guiding clients through the technical aspects of business transactions
  • Contributing to the marketing effort, with a view to developing the client base and services offered.
