Cloud & Management Accountant (0938)

We have an exciting opportunity to work within our fast-growing Client Services Team, providing specialist Cloud and management accounting advice to both new and established clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Implement system solutions to new and existing clients and support that implementation by delivering training and on-boarding activities.
  • Diagnose and implement the rectification of system deficiencies and provide recommendations on efficiency improvements ensuring tax and accounting compliance.
  • Deal with the completion of annual accounts and tax computations for both incorporated and unincorporated business with a turnover of up to £10m.
  • Produce management accounts
  • Deal with the completion of self-assessment tax returns for clients.
  • Ensure accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date.
  • Deal with the completion of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Deal with the completion of sub-contractors returns and ensure CIS requirements are met.
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft correspondence for clients, liaising with HMRC, by telephone and email.
  • Provide a variety of administrative and business set-up services for clients
  • Support and coach the work of less experienced team members
  • Provide remote and in-house support to the Firm’s clients.
  • Provide support to staff internally on advanced cloud accounting issues.
  • Deliver internal training and communicate developments in the cloud accounting sector.
  • Assist in delivering and advising clients on adjustments to their systems and processes to comply with relevant legislation changes.
  • Travel to and from clients’ premises to conduct system reviews, training and promote Cloud and digital solutions on a regular basis.

About you: 

  • At least 2 years’ experience and ideally AAT qualified (or qualified by experience) and potentially studying for a further related professional qualification eg ACCA/ACA
  • Experienced in accounts preparation for partnerships/LLPs and limited companies
  • Applicants should be accurate, analytical and methodical in their approach to work
  • Confident communicator and a good listener
  • Computer literate with advanced skills in the Microsoft Office 365 suite and MS Teams
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
